Vidhya (giving knowledge) is the only wealth given to the coming generation that cannot be robbed by any means.

So, the parents and the elders of the society are responsible for it. It should be the joint efforts of the government, parents, teachers, and society. It cannot be restricted to an academic career rather it should be on mental, spiritual, and physical levels.

Today’s deterioration in moral values in our nation is due to the overemphasis on academic careers, neglect of discipline, and imparting moral values with an understanding of the present fast-changing scenario in our country.

The technological innovations, communication facilities offered, globalization of markets, and pouring down of information make things more complicated rather than simplifying its method.

The overall growth of a child should be well-balanced. Society should innovate new things so that every child in this nation must have a reach to achieve its desired results.

Only education helps the child to have a right understanding of equality and fraternity which is the core of our Indian Constitution. This will and must be reflected in the community strategy so that harmony can be easily achieved. The motivation and direction for every child should be made available at their reach.

With the above things in mind, the GEMS having a passion for education motivated by the word of God, the Bible. We strive hard to transform the minds of the little ones when they are small as the Bible says,

Train up a child in the way he should go (teaching him to seek Gods wisdom, will for his abilities and talents) even when he is old he will not depart from it.  Proverbs 22:6

Again the market is being decided by the middle class(both upper and lower) and their mindset is reflected in the policy-making of the government. To bring this transformation, GEMS tries to establish institutions in various places including much neglected, isolated and underdeveloped villages with the hope of finding its brighter capable brains and bringing them to the light.

The GEMS English school, Dehri-on- sone is one such effort. Today it could inspire many to start similar schools in the region. Many started with the view of commercializing education, however, amid a chaotic environment, we strive hard to impart values and principles which make a country proud. Having schools in remote villages, and starting technical institutions like ITI's polytechnic colleges can produce effective and employable youth for the country.

We learnt a lot during our 40 years of travel in education and now see the results of our contributions to society especially in a state like Bihar which can be a role model for other states. One retired IAS officer said that Bihar leads the Nation.

We are a part of that dream, playing our role with God's given love and burden. However, we need to go a long way. We march slowly forward but never slide backwards. May the richest blessings of the Lord be upon every student who passed out from our institution. I highly appreciate all the staff who put all their efforts and strength with all sincerity and dedication to see that dream happening.

40 years is not a small period, which means serving one generation of the area, much more to be done with the favour of God, Government, Grateful cooperation of staff & teachers and a Good environment.
